the SLUSHPILE BLOG – RIP 09/30/2007 – 09/26/2009

Folks, another era is coming to an end. This is notice that the Slushpile Blog is going to cease to exist.
Blame it on WordPress, who because of their ‘upgrade’ recently has thrown my blog into a tizzy. Yes, I’m getting as many hits as before, about 200 a day on average, but the majority of [...]

9/16/09 Updates

Jim Spurr’s Reflection in the Wake continues to grow in the way of images. He’s requested a couple more in addition to the ones already added, and I can’t help but think that it is going to be a very handsome book, with nearly an image for every chapter. A real treasure trove of information, [...]

Our ‘Blind in One Eye, Can’t See Out of the Other’ Publishing House

My last eye appointment was in October, 2007, not quite two years ago. I’ve been assured by many that an eye appointment for adults every two years is more than sufficient. Changes in prescriptions tend to slow down after you hit a certain age, and the yearly exams you have as children and young adults [...]
